Been going to this cafe since I first found it a couple of years ago! Love the strawberry cake bingsu and croffles. A little pricey but I’d say it’s worth it. The sitting area is always busy, so it’s sometimes tough to get a seat
I’ve walked past this place multiple times without even noticing it, but once I did, I decided to pop in and try their Katsu Curry. I’m a sucker for Katsu Curry, but in this case, it was an Omurice Katsu Curry . The outside is small but really presentable, especially with all the desserts they seem to be known for. But this time, I was craving a proper meal, so I decided to dine in. When ordering at the counter, I don’t think the person understood much English. I tried asking a couple of questions, but they didn’t quite get me, so I just said, “Nevermind, it’s okay.” Once you order, you head up a small staircase to choose a table, there are probably only 5 to 7 tables up there from what I can remember. Definitely not a place designed for dining in, but it works. I waited around 20 minutes for my food, which I thought was perfect timing. When it arrived, I was honestly amazed, the food was tender, soft, juicy, and just all-around delicious. It came out hot and stayed warm for ages. The Omurice was cooked perfectly, and the blend of flavors with the Katsu Curry was spot-on. I’ll definitely be coming back just for that dish. As for pricing, it felt pretty standard for central London, no complaints there. Overall, the food is amazing, no doubt about it. The service could use a little improvement, and I do wish the place had more seating, it’s super small and might feel too cramped for some people. That said, I’m pretty sure you can get takeaway, which would be perfect if you’d rather eat in a nearby park or somewhere more open. Check it out, seriously, it’s worth it!
Nice tiny place to get lovely shaved ice and cakes. Has a small seating place and helpful staff. Our desserts were nice but pricey- acceptable for soho prices.
We had the strawberry shortcake bingsu and it was amazing! The shaved ice was perfectly sweet and the cake on top of the bingsu was soft and full of fresh strawberries. The dining in space is small and a bit cramped but service was nice and staff friendly.
A small Japanese Korean style restaurant. In addition to Japanese and Korean style mains, its dessert highlights are shaved ice and strawberry cake. Space is quite small and a bit cramped, and there was still a queue around 2:30pm, but the food made it worth the wait. [Shibuya Omurice + Pork Katsu] The omurice had a half runny egg on top and was generously covered in sauce, very flavorful and satisfying. Would have been even better if it used fried rice inside. The extra chicken katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, delicious! [Shibuya Cheese Tonkatsu] A pork cutlet topped with melted cheese, not something you see often in London! It looked great and tasted just as good. Came with fried prawns, rice, and miso soup. Very filling and worth trying. [Mango Bingsu] Huge portion and very eye catching. The mango sauce and chunks were sweet and slightly tangy, pairing perfectly with the fine, milky shaved ice. Add some condensed milk and it’s even better. Great for sharing between 2–3 people. Absolutely loved it, the portion sizes were huge, so definitely recommend sharing food with others. Out of the three of us that went only one could eat all of the main course. The bingsu was definitely the highlight though (again huge, so would recommend sharing). I thought the price was really good for London, especially considering portion sizes. There are only four tables though, we were really lucky and managed to walk right in (on a weekday), I imagine it's harder to get a table at the weekend. If it's full I would recommend getting a bingsu to takeaway still, as it's lovely xxx
